Mini Vinnies – Cake Making and Decorating Thursday 16th February
The Mini Vinnies was set up in Spring 2016.
Their aim is to
‘Put Concern into Action.’
We help people in our school and wider community. Below are some of the projects we have been involved with…. Most recently, we asked to visit Cannock Food Distribution Centre. We wanted to see how the food we collect is stored and then distributed.
Mini Vinnies MacMillan Coffee Morning
We decided to support the annual Macmillan coffee morning day in September 2016. We asked our parents to help bake cakes. We got loads in and look how much we raised………..
Aimee is a little girl who lives near our school. Her parents were trying to raise money to purchase some special software for eye gaze. One of our Mini Vinnies saw her story in the local paper.
Mini Vinnies raised £404.03 for ‘Aimee’ for special software for eye gaze.
Mini Vinnies Afternoon Tea
This was our event. We invited the people who attend the local day centre to join us for afternoon tea and some entertainment. We made the cakes and sandwiches ourselves. It was fun, but hard work!
Mini Vinnies Assembly
This was the assembly when we learnt all about the Mini Vinnies, what they do and how they help people in their community.
